Since my release from isolation, I have been driving aimlessly on parkways and highways. Along the Sprain Brook Parkway, the landscape looks like early fall, with orange, burgundy, brown and yellow speckled here and there. Along the Taconic Parkway, further north, the trees are undressed, their naked branches pointing towards the heavens, arms stretching, reaching, yearning, beseeching, begging and pleading to be covered in their varying green hues.
The weather has been a little bipolar here in the Northeast since spring came in on March 19th According to information I gathered on AccuWeather, in partnership with ABC7, the weather in New York City was: 18 days of 40’s 19 in the 50’s, 15 in the 60’s and 1 in the 70’s, and that 70’s was in March. The weather has been mostly rainy and gloomy, even on those 60 days. It stormed one day and there was a tornado alert in southern New York. Tornado! It didn't come to pass, but how crazy is that!! This past week, it has been rain, rain, rain and more rain.
Is Mother Nature crying along with us?
Sista Gurl, I love you use of the English language. You figuratively paint pictures to make us all feel like we are riding the highways with you. I look foward to all your Dawnings! Love, Eze
