On its website, dated April 30th, the FDA warned
Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine have not been shown to be safe and effective for treating or preventing COVID-19.
The FDA warned about the health risks
The FDA is aware of reports of serious heart rhythm problems in patients with COVID-19 treated with hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine, often in combination with azithromycin and other QT prolonging medicines. fda.gov
The FDA also cautioned its use by medical professionals in outpatient settings
We are also aware of increased use of these medicines through outpatient prescriptions. Therefore, we would like to remind health care professionals and patients of the known risks associated with both hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine. fda.gov

The action by Conley and his patient is drawing more and more people to request hydroxycloroquine. And in the meantime, people who NEED hydroxychloroquine for their medical conditions, such as lupus, are having a hard time filling their prescriptions.
Murray served two of four years in Jackson's death. Who will take the fall when people with lupus get sicker or die, and who will take the fall when those inappropriately taking the medication get heart disease and/or die?
