Collateral Damage

So if enough of us get sick, a herd community will be developed.  Is that why the federal administration is moving like molasses to get things done, to get everyone tested, to develop a vaccine?  Do those in power already have the vaccine?  Is that why they do not wear masks?  Are they sending subliminal and direct messages to others that they shouldn’t either?  Are the states opening early because they are waiting for the next wave?   How many people will have to suffer, how many people will have to die?  Do you care that the majority of people infected and dead are people of color?  Or is that the plan?

I feel that I am/we are collateral damage.
